About Us

Tanzania East Africa Gateway Terminal Limited (TEAGTL) is the operator of Container Terminal 2 (CT2), comprising berths 8 to 11, at the port of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. CT2 is the largest container handling facility in Tanzania, catering to the bulk of containerized movement at Dar es Salaam. Strategically located in the proximity of major shipping routes, the port of Dar es Salaam is the enabler of trade for Tanzania, connecting Tanzanian businesses to the rest of the world. Dar es Salaam also serves the broader East African hinterland, catering to transit cargo from neighboring countries such as Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Zambia. The port of Dar es Salaam thus functions as the Gateway to East Africa.
